Copyright Policy

Drimystic Records respects intellectual property rights and expects our users to do the same. This Copyright Policy explains our practices regarding copyrighted content uploaded to and distributed through our Service.

We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and similar laws worldwide. For DMCA takedown procedures specifically, see our DMCA Policy.

When you upload music to Drimystic Records, you represent and warrant that:

• You own or have properly licensed all copyright interests in your music — including the sound recording (master) and the underlying musical composition.
• You have obtained written permission from all collaborators, producers, and featured artists.
• Your music does not sample any third-party recordings without clearance.
• Your artwork is original or properly licensed for commercial use.
• All metadata (ISRC, UPC, credits) accurately reflects the rights holders.

You are solely responsible for any copyright claims arising from your uploads.

Cover songs: We support cover song distribution through our integrated licensing partners. Mechanical royalties for covers are paid to the original publishers automatically. Cover songs must be clearly marked as covers in the release flow.

Samples: All samples — even short ones — require clearance from both the master rights holder (usually the record label) and the publishing rights holder (usually the songwriter or their publisher). We do not provide sample clearance services. Uploading uncleared samples is grounds for account termination.

Remixes: Remixes require explicit written permission from the original rights holder. We require documentation of this permission before approving remix releases.

Works in the public domain may be distributed freely. However, public domain status varies by country and depends on factors like the date of the author's death, the country of original publication, and the type of work. A recording of a public domain composition may still be protected as a sound recording — the composition is public domain, but the specific recording is not.

If you distribute public domain works, you must clearly indicate this in your release metadata. We recommend consulting a music attorney if you are unsure about public domain status.

In accordance with the DMCA and our policies, we will terminate the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat copyright infringers. A "repeat infringer" is a user who has had three or more valid takedown notices upheld against them within a 12-month period.

We also reserve the right to terminate accounts immediately for egregious infringement, such as uploading entire copyrighted albums without permission.

If you believe that content on Drimystic Records infringes your copyright, please submit a notice to our Designated Copyright Agent (see DMCA Policy for the full procedure and requirements). Your notice must include:

• Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
• Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, including its URL on our Service.
• Your contact information (name, address, email, phone).
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized.
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
• Your physical or electronic signature.

If your content was removed due to a DMCA notice and you believe it was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice. The counter-notice must include:

• Identification of the removed material and its location before removal.
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed in error.
• Your contact information and consent to the jurisdiction of the local federal court.
• Your physical or electronic signature.

If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the material in 10–14 business days unless the original complainant files a court action.
